Hebrews 10:19-25 contain two lettuce verses.  The first one exhorts, “let us” draw near to God.  This nearness to God has been made possible through the sacrifice of God’s Son Jesus Christ on the cross.

His sacrifice has paved the way for us to have access to the throne of God.  Since our worship is now acceptable to God and since Christ sacrifice and presence at the right hand of the Father has granted us access, we are encouraged to come before Him with boldness.  As we worship Christ with sincerity and boldness of heart, we are cleansed from an evil conscience (thoughts and ideas contrary to God) and are washed pure and made clean through the ministry of the Spirit in us.

Now, the author of Hebrews says “let us” consider those around us.  They may need our encouragement and help to see what we have seen and experience what we have experienced in worship.  So, we should look for opportunities to exhort and awaken them to the gospel and good works.  One way we can do this is by meeting regularly together in a corporate setting to praise and lift up His name though testimony and song.  We should do this with increasingly regularity as we see the Day of the Lord approaching.

What about you?  Are you reflecting His salvation plan to those around you and partnering with God to draw men and women, boys and girls to Himself?  Are you regularly meeting with other believers to praise Jesus the King in a corporate setting?  The Day is approaching.  Why not begin now?
