Most Scholars agree that Paul’s letter to the Philippians is his most personal and intimate letter.

In 2 Timothy 2:2, we are admonished to pray for those who are in authority over us.

“God communicates clearly the parameters by which He is to be worshipped.”

I read this poem today by Henry Van Dyke and it encouraged me.  I hope it does you too….

What must the suffering of Jesus been like?  The physical pain combined with the emotional turmoil and spiritual disconnect from the Father must have been an enormous load to bear.

In John Sammis famous hymn entitled “Trust and Obey”, he writes these words… “Not a burden we bear, Not a sorrow we share, but our toil He doth richly repay; not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey.”
